Clayton played most of his minor hockey with the SPKAC. After playing his second year of midget with the AAA Kings Clayton played 10 games for the Spruce Grove Saints then moved onto the WHL playing for the Saskatoon Blades. In 2014 Clayton was traded to the Vancouver Giants where he now plays. Clayton has been with Firstline Training since May of 2010. Clayton also enjoys the occasional wood working project.
